TRIP ITINERARY:

Day 1: Dalat arrival

Free day to explore the City on your own.

** Overnight in Lanani Hotel **

Day 2: Canyoning Full Option

Are you an adrenalin junkie? Do you love the water? If so this adventure is for you! Professionally trained guides will show you the ropes and prepare you for the journey down the waterfalls. No previous experience is necessary for this action-packed day of hiking, rappelling, swimming, and sliding down the falls!

Activities: Hiking, Rappelling, Tyrolean Traverse, Water sliding and Swimming
Trekking Grade: 5 – Moderate
Canyoning Grade: 5-7
Duration: 5 hours

What to Bring: Hat, sunscreen, clothes for swimming, repellent, camera, sport sandals/water shoes

What is canyoning? Canyoning is navigating your way through a canyon. In this case, the canyon runs through a series of spectacular waterfalls and in some sections the topography requires ropes to navigate our way successfully. Other sections can be hiked or swam through.
This one day trip starts to the south of Dalat City. We drive along picturesque scenic roads to the trail head, where we start our journey.

At the practice slope you’ll learn the basics of knot tying, harness wearing, hardware, and proper rappelling technique. After the guides are satisfied that you’ve got it down, you’ll head down your first rappel! It is an exciting 15 meter descent into the river below.

There is a beautiful waterfall right next to the area we descend into. From here we head further down the canyon to a spectacular Tyrolean Traverse that drops down and over a waterfall and the river. Natural water slides await us after this. We take our time having a couple of goes at it before continuing downriver.

The trail meanders over some gently rolling, jungle fringed hills along the side of the river, and at points we have to get down into the river itself to continue forward.

We have two more exhilarating rappels through waterfalls, including the infamous “Washing Machine” before we walk out of the canyon (30 minutes) and meet our vehicle for transport back to Dalat.

We will pick you up at Lanani Hotel between 8:00 am and 10:00 am and head to Datanla Waterfall for the Canyoning. The finish time depends on your fitness level and departure time (it's about 5 hours).

** Overnight in Lanani Hotel **

Day 3: Full Day Countryside Tour

You will be picked up at Lanani Hotel at 8:30 am and begin your
journey to Tanung area. Along the way, you will have a chance to learn about the countryside living as well as seeing vegetable & flower farms, pine forest, coffee plantations, rice wine making, cricket farms, silk worm factory, spectacular Elephant Waterfall and the giant statue in Linh An Pagoda.

In the afternoon, we will head to Pongour Waterfalls (~ 50 km south of Dalat). The waterfall is considered as one of the most beautiful and imposing falls in the West Highland. It is about 40m in height and over 100m in width. And surrounded by 25 ha unspoiled forest, the waterfall slips into numerous sandstone stepping from the top to the bottom. Its massive water powerfully falling down seven floors produces sonorous sounds that can be heard from miles away. Return to Dalat in the late afternoon.

** Overnight in Lanani Hotel **

Day 4: One Day Bike to the Coast

We will pick you up at Lanani Hotel at 7:30 am for the 1 Day Biking to the Coast. There are two options for you to choose depending on your next destination after Dalat. If you love Kite surfing/Wind surfing then Mui Ne is a great choice for you. And if you love Scuba diving/Snorkeling, Nha Trang is a great Beach City for you to discover the sea world under the deep blue water (and then head to your next destinations in the Central of Vietnam to Hoi An and up North). Enjoy your wonderful cycling trip with us to beautiful beach cities of Vietnam!

Activities: Mountain Biking
Biking Grade: 5 - Easy to Moderate
Transportation: Front suspension mountain bike and A/C vehicle

Option 1: Bike from Dalat to Mui Ne (Moderate 1 day ride)

You will get over 900 meters of descent on this 75+ km ride to Mui Ne as you wind through pine and jungle forested valleys into the tropical climate below. Our support vehicle takes you from Dalat to Di Linh (75 km) where we start the ride down to Mui Ne. The ride goes through small minority villages and jungle forested valleys to the beautiful beaches below. The first section of riding is through coffee plantations and forest and includes a 5 kilometer uphill climb to get you warmed up.

This is followed by plenty of down hill and rolling sections. A final long downhill pass is completed before the road flattens out with a long cruise to Highway 1, where the ride ends and our vehicle transports us the rest of the way to Mui Ne (usually 30 minutes). The road is mostly paved (sealed) secondary and the support vehicle is used to transport all luggage and provisions for lunch and refreshment. The ride is also customizable in length, as the support vehicle can be used at any time by tired riders.

Normally, the estimated arrival time in Mui Ne is around 4pm. We will drop you off at your hotel in Mui Ne Center after the trip. The duration of the biking is about 4 to 6 hours.

Option 2: Bike from Dalat to Nha Trang (Moderate 1 day ride)

This ride to Nha Trang starts with a 45 minute transfer 33 kilometers to the north east of Dalat on a new road and through the newest national park in Vietnam (Bidoup Nui Ba).  It offers fantastic cycling in the highlands as well as down a 28 kilometer pass to the coast. The first section of the ride starts in pine forest and rolls through the hills with beautiful views of farms, countryside and Nui Ba Mountain.  There is one final 3 kilometer climb to the top of the pass before some serious downhill. The 28 kilometer, uninterrupted downhill section is the longest section of downhill we offer.

After reaching the bottom of the pass we have a picnic style lunch by the side of the river. The section of riding after lunch offers a beautiful sampling of country living in Vietnam, passing through small villages and farms. This section of riding, although pleasant, can be challenging as the hills roll continuously.  Average riding distance is 70 kilometers with an option to ride more, or less.  The support vehicle can be used at any time by tired riders and is used to transport luggage and provisions along the way.

The finish time will depend on you - how fast you ride. Normally, the estimated arrival time in Nha Trang is around 4pm. We will drop you off at your hotel in Nha Trang Center after the trip.
